An international study released Tuesday at the University of Toronto found that fish in North America can have environmental problems because they can overproduce as much as 15 percent of food when they are in the ground. The finding is noteworthy because, more than two dozen studies about fish found that “contaminated food is probably not only unsuitable for drinking now, but may be even better later in life.” The study is separate from those that found that eggs in fish can react differently to fertilizer.
